Individual Counselling

  • Do you wish your life were different?

  • Would you like to learn tools to help alleviate
    stress and anxiety?

  • Do you suffer from low self-esteem or depression?

Individual Therapy can give hope, and through the

process of counselling, you can experience growth

and change.

Working together in a collaborative therapeutic

relationship, we will come to understand your needs, fears and negative habits. Through therapy and counselling, you will come to understand the negative underlying beliefs that keep you stuck and limit you from experiencing and knowing your best self.

I provide a safe and warm environment where you can explore your inner most thoughts and feelings.

Children & Adolescent Counselling

During childhood and adolescence, individuals can experience extreme pressure and stress to perform academically and try to fit in socially. Young people can engage in risk taking behaviours, challenge boundaries and authority in an attempt to find their own identity.

Physical changes are also taking place for both boys and girls which can result in mood swings, difficulty focusing and making impulsive poor choices. This stage of development can be challenging to the individual, as well as their family.

Therapy can provide a safe space where children and adolescents can “vent” and better understand their behaviours and their emotional ups and downs. The sessions are confidential, which is an essential element for therapy to work. Therapy can help explore their feelings and thoughts in a non-judgmental and caring environment. At times, when agreed by the young person, the family may participate in the therapeutic process to improve communication and help them move forward in a better way.

Couples Counselling

The definition of “relationship” is the way in which two people are connected, or the state of being connected. Words used synonymously are: bond, alliance, connection and relation.

Many times, what starts out as a strong bond or loving connection between two people gets lost, forgotten or damaged due to daily responsibilities and the demands of work and children. In addition, factors such as poor communication, decreased intimacy and financial difficulties cause hurt, anger and sometimes hopelessness in couples.

Couples Therapy and counselling can help you communicate more effectively with your partner, and better understand each other’s needs and wants. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive environment where you can share your disappointments, concerns and hurt.

You can begin to heal your relationship.

I work with couples on a variety of issues including:
